  • Incoming freshman
  • First person in his/her immediate family to attend a college or university
American Association of University Women-Fairmont Branch
  • At least second-year student
  • Preference to members of AAUW Fairmont Branch Student Affiliate if organization active on campus
  • Financial Aid may be considered
  • West Virginia resident
  • GPA of 2.75 for initial or renewal
  • Available to 2 year, 4 year, or master degree.
ANA-Tulasi & Marilyn Joshi Scholarship
  • Be of Nepalese origin
  • 500 word essay on goals and expectations
  • Provide official/attested copies of SAT or ACT and TOEFL scores.
    • The TOEFL score must be at least PB 550, CB 213, IB 79 or IELTS score at least 6.5
  • Provide official English translation of high school or college transcripts
  • Provide official/attested copies of all academic credentials

  • If no recipient available then West Virginia resident may qualify
James & Debbie Ashton Football Scholarship
  • Preference to an entering football player(s) from Western PA
    • If a freshman is not available, upperclassmen from PA may apply
  • A student who has received the scholarship in the past may reapply but renewability is not guaranteed
  • Preference to students indicating a desire to major in business, computer science, engineering, entrepreneurship or information systems
  • Must meet MEC, NCAA and FSU academic progress

  • Must have completed 64 hours and be accepted to the Teacher Education Program
  • Non-traditional student (any student age 23 and older)
  • Minimum cumulative 3.4 GPA
  • Financial need
  • Non-renewable
  • Must not be receiving any other scholarship or aid from the Foundation
Eddie Barrett Athletic Endowed Scholarship
  • Full-time student
  • Participates in athletics
  • Maintain a 2.5 GPA
  • Renewable

Stanley & Mary Beafore Scholarship
  • Student majoring in Business
  • 3.0 GPA
  • Renewable
  • Preference may be given to students of Italian American heritage as long as the award is administered per the policies and procedures of the Foundation and the Financial Aid Office.
    • Student may be required to submit a paper to the Foundation describing the influence of their heritage and culture in his or her life.
John J. Belota
  • Men's basketball player who meets all NCAA requirements
  • Preference to Marion County, WV students but may be offered to other students
  • Scholarship is renewable at discretion of AD and coach
  • Used for tuition, books, fees or room and board
Bruce F. Betts Endowed Scholarship
  • At least a sophomore Art major attending full-time
  • 2.5 GPA and 3.0 Art GPA
  • Recipient must acknowledge receipt of the scholarship in a thank you note to the Dean of Fine Arts and Mr. Betts' family.

Brickstreet Scholars in Honor of H. Skip Tarasuk
  • Students whose parents are from WV and have either permanent total disability or are deceased as a result of a work related injury
  • Students who are children or grandchildren of employees who have worked for the insurance industry
  • Preference given to those majoring in Math, Nursing, Safety/loss, or the insurance field

Diversified Gas and Oil PLC Impact Scholarship
  • Rising Seniors earning a degree in a Natural Gas and Oil focused major
