Fairmont State University Classified Staff Council Scholarship
  • Does not have to show a financial need
  • Overall GPA 2.0 or better if a returning college student
  • Must be a FSU full-time classified staff employee, a classified staff's spouse, child or step-child residing with the employee and/or is claimed as a dependent for federal income tax
  • Recipients allowed to re-apply

  • Must not be receiving any other scholarship or aid from the Foundation

Wendell G. Hardway Award for Excellence in Teacher Education
  • Major: Education and admitted to the Teacher Education Program
  • 3.5 GPA
  • 96 hours completed

Glenn A. Harman Accounting Excellence Scholarship
  • Full-time junior student majoring in accounting who demonstrates outstanding promise
  • Minimum GPA of 3.5 and deemed the most appropriate candidate
  • Financial need may be considered
  • Preference may be given to students from West Virginia

  • Demonstrate financial need

  • Financial need is required to register in graduate program in Teacher Education with the intention of teaching at the middle or high school level

  • Preference to Marion County, West Virginia students then to other West Virginia students
Hazel E. Dyer Endowed Scholarship for Excellence in Nursing
  • WV Resident
  • Resident of Taylor and/or Harrison County
  • Financial Need
  • Enrolled in Associate Degree Nursing Program
The Heaney Family Descendants Endowed Scholarship
  • Must be pursuing a baccalaureate (four-year) degree
  • Must not be able to qualify for any form of federal or state financial aid and should be classified as "middle class" under federal guidelines
  • Must not be receiving any other additional aid or support from Foundation
  • Full-time with a minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA
Bob Heffner Endowment for Outstanding Students in Graphics Technology
  • Student must have completed first year In the Associate of Applied Sciences Program at Pierpont Community & Technical College or first year in the Bachelor of Science degree in Graphics Technology at FSU
  • Student will be asked to submit a portfolio to the dean who will make the final selection
  • Student may reapply but renewability is not guaranteed
