Helmut Plant Impact Scholarship in Memory of Elizabeth Terry
  • Undergraduate Student
  • Majoring in Foreign Language
Donald Hoylman Impact Scholarship
  • Students must have completed at least one year of study and be enrolled for classes in the FSU School of Business with a minimum overall GPA of 2.5
  • Students must declare their major as Business or Accounting
  • Renewable but not guaranteed
  • To be used for tuition/fees/books/room and board
  • Selection to be made by the Dean of the School of Business and his/her representatives
  • Preference may be given to students who have expressed interest in starting a business
  • Must be a US citizen or permanent resident
  • Must be a resident of WV
  • Must submit the Hunt-Arnold Diversity Scholarship application by March 1st of senior year in high school
  • Must submit at least two signed letters of reference  from school official, teacher, member of a community organization, or employer
  • Must submit personal essay on the topic “How do you define diversity and how can you help make Fairmont State University a more diverse campus?”
  • Must submit Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) by March 1st of senior year in high school
  • Must apply for admission to Fairmont State University by March 1st of senior year in high school

  • Preference will be given to students from Mannington, W.Va., district
  • Financial need is required
  • No student who participates in any unlawful activity against FSU or any other school of higher learning will be eligible

  • Active participant in the Honors Program
  • Minimum 3.4 grade point average

  • Full-time nursing student in either the two- or four-year program
  • Financial need or scores in the top 25 percent on Nursing admission scores

  • Graduate from a high school located in Marion or Monongalia County in West Virginia

  • Enrollment in the School of Business with primary preference given to incoming freshman who has declared Accounting major
  • 2.5 high school GPA minimum and combined SAT score of 1020 or ACT composite score of 22
  • Renewable with maintenance of 3.0 minimum GPA
