Fairmont State University together with its dining partner, Aladdin, held a ribbon cutting and grand opening of the new Starbucks fully licensed store on Monday, April 15 to enhance its already stellar dining experience where students enjoy nationally ranked top food brands.
Aladdin specializes in higher education dining which combines its culinary expertise with favorite quick service brands.
In recognition of students craving new dining opportunities at Fairmont State University, Chilaca, an authentic Mexican dining concept, opened its doors today.
“We are excited to partner with Aladdin in providing our students with this great restaurant. Chilaca’s fresh ingredients and authentic cuisine are already being enjoyed by our students,” said President Mirta Martin.
With a goal of broadening student dining experiences for residential and commuter students, Fairmont State University has awarded Aladdin a five-year contract for food and beverage services with the option of five additional one-year contract renewals.
A ribbon cutting ceremony on Tuesday, Oct. 29, celebrated the renovation and expansion of the Starbucks located inside the Ruth Ann Musick Library on the shared main campus of Fairmont State University and Pierpont Community & Technical College.
As you crest the top step in the Falcon Center and look into the third floor Dining Hall, the first person you are likely to see is 24-year Dining Services veteran Carolyn Straight. With her blond hair and bright smile, she serves students during breakfast, lunch, and dinner and knows most everyone by name.
