The Fairmont State University Community Arts will present the 2022 Song of Hope on Friday, March 11 at 7:30 p.m. The performance will take place in-person in the Wallman Hall Theatre, with all proceeds benefitting the Tygart Valley United Way.
Fairmont State University and the Tygart Valley United Way will honor the values and legacy of the late Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Thursday, January 13 through the MLK Day of Service benefitting three local agencies.
The Fairmont State University Student Government Association is supporting the Tygart Valley United Way, which represents Marion, Taylor, Randolph, Barbour and Tucker counties, through sales of this year’s “Maroon Madness” t-shirts.
Proceeds from the sales will benefit the “Charting a New Course” campaign, launched by the United Way earlier this month.
Fairmont State University and the Tygart Valley United Way have partnered to host the Fairmont State Day of Action on Sunday, August 8. All students, employees and alumni are encouraged to participate in various service projects both on and off-campus as part of the University’s Welcome Week.
Fairmont State University has raised a record $31,541 through the annual United Way of Marion and Taylor Counties campaign making it the largest campaign in Fairmont State’s 40-year campaign history.
The 2020 campaign in total raised $503,475 to help the local communities. The University was given the top honor of the event with the “Best of the Best” Award and is the second largest contributor to the local United Way.
