Fairmont State honors Hutson family contributions to School of Nursing

Fairmont State philanthropists, alumni and Harrison County natives, Rusty and Kimberly Hutson were honored during a press conference on Tuesday for a series of gifts totaling $500,000 to benefit the School of Nursing. The celebration included the unveiling of the newly named Rusty & Kimberly Hutson Family Nursing Simulation Laboratory.

Fairmont State University finished its fiscal year (July 1 – June 30) in a strong position as the most financially solvent four-year institution in the state. Solvency, is defined by the number of days an institution will remain operational using the amount of cash they have on hand. 

Fairmont State to Celebrate 150th Commencement on May 11

More than 570 graduates will be celebrated during the 150th Commencement ceremonies for Fairmont State University on Saturday, May 11, in the Feaster Center. Both ceremonies will include the Inauguration of President Mirta M. Martin.
