Fairmont State University’s WV Folklife Center to host Spring Celebration April 28

Fairmont State University’s Frank and Jane Gabor West Virginia Folklife Center will host a Spring Celebration on Thursday, April 28 at 7 p.m. The event will begin with a short concert by the Kennedy Barn String Band, followed by an awards ceremony and concluding with a brief introduction to the Trunk of Traditional Tunes Museum Exhibit.

Fairmont State Alumnus loans artifacts for Civil War Collection on Exhibit at Folklife Center

Fairmont State University students working toward their museum studies minor have created a new exhibit, The Civil War: Selections from the Porter Stiles Collection, under the direction of Dr. Marian Hollinger. The grand opening will be at 7 p.m. Monday, November 11, at the Frank and Jane Gabor West Virginia Folklife Center.

Fairmont State welcomes Jeremy Hatcher as new Director of Alumni Relations

Fairmont State University is happy to welcome Jeremy Hatcher as the new Director of Alumni Relations and will work to engage and grow the Falcon alumni network. 

A native of Ripley, WV, he attended West Virginia University where he earned his Master's in Safety Management and bachelor's in Environmental Science with a minor in microbiology.  He is a 2019 graduate of the Leadership Marion program.
