Caperton Center to Participate in College Goal Sunday

The Gaston Caperton Center in Clarksburg will be one of 23 locations throughout the state to host the annual College Goal SundaySM event on Sunday, Feb. 10, presented by the West Virginia Higher Education Policy Commission.

Students and parents can receive assistance completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) during the free workshops.

Intro to Global Perspectives Students Travel to Canada

As part of the Introduction to Global Perspectives course, which offers students a chance to familiarize themselves with cultures and concepts outside their own, 11 students and two instructors from Fairmont State University spent their spring break in Canada. This trip, which offered many students their first international experience, was funded by a grant from the Consortium for Internationalizing Higher Education, part of the West Virginia Higher Education Policy Commission.

CHARLESTON, WV – The West Virginia Higher Education Policy Commission (Commission) is announcing a series of Regional Public Forums aimed at assessing higher education’s progress in meeting the goals and objectives as outlined in Charting the Future 2007-2012: A Master Plan for West Virginia Higher Education.  The forums will be hosted and sponsored by various four-year public colleges and universities and held at the respective campuses.  The forums will provide an opportunity to receive feedback from community members, higher education officials, and policymakers regarding the current master plan and the development of a new master plan.
