Fairmont State University is proud to once again partner with the Tygart Valley United Way for its 2022 campaign and has set a goal of $25,000.

This year’s community campaign theme, “It Starts With You,” will be echoed on campus as faculty, staff and students are encouraged to find a way that they can give back to the community. The campaign will run September 19 through November 11.  

The Fairmont State Foundation has announced the addition of three new members to its Board of Directors, including Taylor Downs, John Guido and Christina Lavorata.

The Fairmont State University Board of Governors convened on Thursday, July 7 with Board members and the executive leadership team joining both in the Falcon Center and virtually.

During the meeting, the Board approved new leadership for the upcoming year to include Chairman, Rusty Hutson, Vice-Chairman, David Goldberg, and Secretary, Jason Pizatella, to serve in officer roles through June 30, 2023.

On Friday, the Fairmont State University Board of Governors voted to enter negotiations to name current Vice President of Academic Affairs and Provost, Dianna Phillips, as the University’s interim president.

On Monday, representatives from Wheeling University and Fairmont State University signed an articulation agreement to establish a partnership amongst the institutions, which aims to produce more quality health care professionals to serve patients in the State of West Virginia and across the country.

The Fairmont State University Board of Governors convened Thursday, May 5, approving agenda items presented by the Academic Affairs and Finance Committees.

More than 1,000 Fairmont State University students have been honored for their academic achievements throughout the spring 2021 semester. 

After engaging in a national search in seeking a Vice President of Academic Affairs and Provost, Fairmont State University is proud to welcome West Virginia native, Dr. Dianna Phillips to the Falcon Family. Phillips will begin her tenure at Fairmont State on Monday, April 26.
