Homecoming

Fairmont State University football has unveiled the schedule that will be played in the fall of 2023. The schedule includes 11 games with 10 Mountain East Conference contests. 

Game times and Thursday night schedules have not been finalized by the MEC and will be announced at a later date. 

Fairmont State University will honor the 2022 Alumni Award Winners during the Fairmont State Alumni & Emeritus Luncheon as part of the University’s Homecoming celebration. The Alumni & Emeritus Luncheon will take place on Friday, September 23 at noon in Falcon Center Gym 1.

Fairmont State University is happy to be hosting Fairmont State Day on Friday, October 25th, in conjunction with the Marion County Schools. All community members, alumni, and students are encouraged to participate. 

With the “Welcome Home” Homecoming 2019 officially kicking off on Thursday, October 24, the Homecoming Parade will be taking a new route this year on Saturday, October 26 beginning at 10 a.m. with lineup at 9 a.m. at Palatine Park.

Fairmont State University will host Homecoming 2019 October 24-26 with the theme “Welcome Home.” 

“This is about welcoming home our Falcon family, our alumni,” President Dr. Mirta Martin said. “We are excited to welcome home generations of our alumni who choose to return home during Homecoming. Some are able to return every year and for others it may be decades since they’ve been back.” 

Fairmont State University will celebrate Homecoming 2018 on October 15-21. This year’s theme is
“Welcome Home.”

“This event is all about welcoming home our alumni,” said President Mirta Martin. “It is our honor to serve as the welcoming committee to generations of alumni who choose Homecoming as the time of year they return to campus. For some, they return every year, and for others, it may be four or more decades since they have been here.”

As part of Homecoming 2017 for Fairmont State University, nine exceptional alumni will be honored at the annual Alumni Awards Brunch at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 30. This year’s Homecoming theme is “Fairmont Flashback 1967” in honor of the 50^th anniversary of Fairmont State’s NAIA National Championship Football team.

Fairmont State University’s 1967 NAIA National Championship Football team will be celebrated during Homecoming 2017 with the theme “Fairmont Flashback 1967.” Homecoming will be held Sept. 25 - 30, with a variety of events for students, alumni, faculty, staff and the Falcon community.

With the theme “There’s No Place Like Fairmont,” Fairmont State University will celebrate Homecoming 2016 from Thursday, Sept. 29, through Saturday, Oct. 1. The Fairmont State Alumni Association will welcome back the Class of 1966 for their induction into the Emeritus Club.
