A Marion County family has created The Midge Teahan Travel Scholarship for Fairmont State University students who wish study abroad. The $25,000 endowed scholarship honors the life Margaret Murphy “Midge” Teahan and her love of world travel.

Midge, the wife of Fairmont State University English professor John Michael Teahan, loved being involved in the academic community, which furthered her goal of becoming a continuous learner of other cultures and experiences.
