Premier Academic Scholarship Application Now Open

Fairmont State has begun its annual search for the best and brightest West Virginians in the class of 2023. The Charles J. McClain Scholarship is the University’s most competitive scholarship program and awards three McClain Scholars tuition and fees, room and board for on-campus students, and a $500 per semester book scholarship for the on-campus Bound for Success Bookstore.

Fairmont State’s General Scholarship application open for 2023-2024 academic year

Fairmont State University is now accepting General Scholarship applications for the 2023 – 2024 academic year. Both incoming and current Fairmont State students are encouraged to complete the General Scholarship application by March 1, 2023.

Both current and incoming Fairmont State students are encouraged to complete the University’s General Scholarship application prior to the March 1 deadline. Applications submitted will determine eligibility for funding for the 2022 – 2023 academic year, awarded through the Fairmont State Office of Financial Aid and academic departments.

Tresa Weimer appointed to HEPC Financial Aid Advisory Board

Fairmont State University’s Tresa Weimer, Executive Director of Student Support Services, has been appointed to the Higher Education Student Financial Aid Advisory Board for the Higher Education Policy Commission (HEPC). 

Weimer currently serves as the Director of Financial Aid and Scholarships, oversees Admissions, Student Services, and Student Systems. Her position on the board was approved by the HEPC on December 5, 2019 and her term will run through June 30, 2022.
