Orientation

New Student Orientation:  Discover, Connect, Take Flight.

As a new Fairmont State University student, you are required to attend New Student Orientation. We offer on-campus orientations, as well as virtual orientations for those seeking a virtual option.

New Student Orientation is where you will officially become a student at Fairmont State University. This program will introduce you to our campus, services, programs, and academics. Additionally, New Student Orientation is where you will get your Spring or Fall class schedule.

What Orientation should I choose?

That is up to you, we are offering in-person, on campus orientations for Fall 2023 admitted students via Welcome Wednesday and Saturday orientations.

Welcome Wednesdays

Come visit our cozy, hilltop campus for a  Welcome Wednesday-an in-person, on-campus orientation experience.

Saturday Orientation

Come visit our cozy, hilltop campus for a weekend in-person, on-campus orientation experience.

If I attend an on campus orientation event, can my family come?

Yes! We encourage students to bring their supporters to Welcome Wednesdays, and Saturday Orientations

If I am an incoming student in the Fall when I do attend orientation?

Registration for Fall 2023 admitted student orientation will begin on April 1, 2023.

What else do I need to do?
