Tips When Applying

  • Use your email – When starting an application, use your own email and do not share accounts. Sharing accounts will delay the admission process, causing your application to be created under the identity of the other person.
  • Term not available - If the term you desire is unavailable, please contact us at 304-367-4141 or email admit@fairmontstate.edu for assistance. 
  • Admission letters will be sent to the email used when you applied.
  • Check out the start dates for each upcoming semester on the University's Calendar.

Undergraduate Application Dates

Summer 2023

  • Application is now open!
  • Application closing and deadline for all materials: May 12th, 2023 (Sessions I and II)

Fall 2023

  • Application is now open!
  • Application closing and deadline for all materials: August 11th, 2023

Fall 2023 2nd 7 Weeks

  • Application opens: August 21st, 2023

Spring 2024

Professional Flight

The flight program is a selective/competitive program with a fall start only and requires an additional application Flight Program Application.  This application must be submitted electronically. This program has additional requirements found on the application page. 

Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) Program

The ASN (RN) program is a competitive program with a priority deadline.  Program admission requires an additional Nursing Program Application. The program includes various tracks throughout the academic year in order to help you obtain your ASN degree in a timely manner.  To find more information on the ASN (RN) program visit the College of Nursing.  To be considered for acceptance into the program a Nursing Program Application and General Admission Application must be completed.  Currently enrolled students do not need to complete the General Admission Application.

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) Program

Admission to our BSN programs is a selective process requiring an additional Nursing Program Application. For more information visit the College of Nursing. To be considered for acceptance into the program a Nursing Program Application and General Admission Application must be completed. Currently enrolled students do not need to complete the General Admission Application.

Police Academy

The Police Academy program is a selective/competitive program with a priority deadline. Program admission requires an additional Police Academy Application and has additional requirements. To be considered for acceptance into the program a Police Academy Application and General Admission Application must be completed. Security & Fire Safety Report

The Clery Act mandates that all Title IV institutions, without exception, prepare, publish and distribute an Annual Security and Fire Safety Report. This report consists of three basic parts: disclosure of the University’s crime statistics for the past three years; disclosure of the University’s fire statistics for the past three years; and disclosures regarding the University’s current campus policies related to personal, property and fire safety.
