"Making the decision to study at Fairmont State is one of the best decisions I've made. My teachers have helped and encouraged me, the opportunities I've been given have sharpened my skills, and the friendships I've made will last forever."

Clubs, Organizations, and Greek Life

The Fairmont State University experience consists of academic exploration and social participation. A combination of departments provide extracurricular activities to enhance campus life. Over 45 various student organizations and clubs are available on campus. The options range from joining student government, professional and honor societies, and Greek Life to participating in intramural sports or other clubs or organizations. Both on-campus and commuter students are kept in mind when campus life activities are organized, so every student has an opportunity to get involved.

"I enjoy the atmosphere that Fairmont State has to offer. It's a smaller campus, and it's easier to get to know people. There is a nice mix of traditional and non-traditional students, which makes the discussions in class rather interesting. On top of that, the instructors are genuinely invested in helping you complete your degree."
-Marissa Shanholtz

Residence Life

"Fairmont State has been an awesome experience for me. When deciding on where to go to college, I wanted to keep it small and somewhere close to home. Fairmont State has been the perfect decision for me. I have been blessed with amazing, kind, and caring professors who have really made this experience great."
-Taylor Masters

Student Support Departments

Student support departments are available through Campus Life. Take advantage of the career development center, dining services, and campus card services

"Fairmont State has some really incredible professors who care about you and genuinely want you to succeed. The student jobs that are offered are fair and helpful, the clubs and organizations are diverse, and the plays are topnotch. I would recommend Fairmont State to anyone who wants to be a part of a community, not a just a campus."
